SAFTEY & COVID-19

We will be doing daily temperature checks, having them all wear masks while in the gym. Employees will be sanitizing frequently and have updated training on the cleaning of equipment as well as social distance enforcement, following all current CDC guidelines.
 
There will be multiple hand sanitizers around the gym (always within 10ft from you no matter where you are in the gym) as well having all staff wash hands multiple times a day. In addition, staff will wear gloves when cleaning and use hand sanitizer before purchases are made.
 
Yes, any class packages or memberships that have an expiration date will be extended.
 

All students will maintain a 6 foot distance when practicing. Masks are optional.

As of 6/22/20: Wearing a face mask while working out is now optional!

Please continue to keep your face mask on when entering the gym, walking around, and leaving the gym, but once you are in your designated zone, your mask is completely optional!

Please bring your own mask or we have some ALCAZAR ACADEMY masks available for $7

Yes, we are following the rules about having half capacity in the gym and that will affect the size of classes. Classes have been divided into groups of 15. We will resume class capacity of 30 when the CDC has given less strict guidelines concerning the COVID-19 Corona Virus.
 

Yes. All equipment is cleaned regularly. Hand sanitizer is always accessible in the training and offices areas. 

Classes have slimmed down to less participants per group. The down side is maybe having to make up another class at a different time which can get inconvenient.

We will always be available to show you hands on. We are also looking to provide instructional videos online in the very near future! Keep an eye out!

YES, If we become aware of a reported case of COVID-19 in either gym, we will notify you as soon as we can. In addition, all staff that had contact with said person(s) will be tested before coming back to work as well.

There is no way to predict what might happen, but our goal is to open up class capacity and schedules as soon as we are able to do so safely!
 

We will contact you before we reopen and ask if you are ready to start your membership up again. If so we will continue where you left off; so keep an eye on your inbox

No. Group classes are for all – no matter your age or fitness level.  A common misunderstanding is that you need to be ‘in shape’ before starting martial arts, boxing fitness training and other forms forms fitness. This is completely false. Our classes are designed to allow our attendees to train ‘at their own pace’ while at the same time, giving the advanced students the opportunity to challenge themselves.

You don’t need to have any experience in martial arts, we’ll teach you how to kick, punch and more the correct way. Our goal is to help you reach your goals.

Tae Kwon Do: Yes. After extensive training you will begin sparring and competition. But dont worry, you will have saftey equipment and be well trained and ready to engage in combat training and sparring.

Kick Boxing Fitness: No.  Classes are non-contact and non-combat – you’ll get lean and toned like a fighter (without ever having to fight!) Light sparring is fun and exciting and even encouraged as long as everyone keeps a leveled head and fitness as the goal!

Tae Kwon Do: Yes. Our classes are non-contact and contact you work in a group setting or one-on-one with certified Instructors and trainers.

Kick Boxing Fitness: No. Our classes are non-contact and you work in a group setting or one-on-one with certified Instructors and trainers.

Martial Arts/Boxing/Fitness Training all help you burn fat and tone muscle in a short amount of time – you’ll gain a firm butt, a smaller waist, toned arms, and a lean more athletic body. A body designed for performance and long term functionality. 

Our classes are a great cardiovascular workout for weight loss, stronger heart, and lungs, increased bone density, reduced stress, reduced risk of heart disease and some types of cancer, temporary relief from depression and anxiety, and better sleep. 

Training hard releases aggression and manages your stress by getting your endorphins pumping. Martial arts is a wonderful form of physical fitness along with other combat sports alike! (Wrestling, boxing, weapons training, breaking etc.)

Yes. Please be sure to show up 10-15 minutes early so we can wrap your hands and explain the class structure to you.

Our classes are a well-balanced workout consisting of martial arts training, boxing fitness, cardio training, and functional fitness.  It is a full-body workout – legs, core, back, shoulders, and arms.

Classes will range between 12-32 people. The larger the class, the more instructors to help out. 

In order to keep the quality of the classes high and maintain a healthy trainer-to-member ratio, we have capped each location.

Absolutely. There are always beginners in class. Plus, the advanced students are always eager to help you get you on your way.

Our classes last approximately 60 minutes.

We have classes 5 days a week so the amount of classes you take is based on your own personal schedule and you’r package. Most of our members train about 1-3 times per week and see great results.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW WHEN TRAINING IN THE DOJANG!

Running late? Please call ahead and let us know, otherwise, your reservation may be given away.

Please double check that you have reserved the correct time and location, otherwise, you are subject to the Late Cancellation Fee.

Anybody under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult for their first session to sign a liability waiver, otherwise, you may not join the class.

Cancellation Agreement: We have limited space in our classes and they are designed dependent upon the number of members per class. If you book a class or private training session & cannot make it, please cancel at least 10 hours in advance as a courtesy to our trainers and other members who may want to book the class.

‘LATE CANCELLATIONS’ or ‘NO SHOWS’ limit our ability to fill reservations. Unfortunately, you will lose a class if you’re on a class package, or you will incur a $12 fee if you have a membership. However; if you are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms please call the front desk and we will happily help sort it out for you. Cancellations can be made by e-mail, telephone or social media that we have accounts with (Just shoot us a DM). We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and we appreciate your understanding.
